ABC Radio National’s Future Tense program recently devoted an episode to gambling. ‘A gamble on the future’ looks at the expansion of casinos and new strategies the gambling industry is pursuing to introduce wagering into online computer games.

The program notes the ways in which the land-based gaming machine industry is also moving to adopt techniques used online as well as in computer gaming to attract new gamblers and maintain gambling.
